This hotel was very clean, stylish and well run. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was nice and the food in the restaurant was superb.

Mostly love the breakfast in this place. They literally serve all you can wish for from pancakes to cereals and seeds and green juices. Building itself looks a bit aged but the rooms are in good shape with modern bathrooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

Nice hotel. Location is quiet and it has all kinds of charging methods for your car available. The room was fine, the only downside was that the hairdryer was broken.

I didn’t had enough time to explore, but the service was really good.

Checked in here after a long day on the road – and immediately felt welcome. The online check-in and prepay worked like a charm, the staff was genuinely friendly, and everything ran as smooth as the coffee machine in the room (which, by the way, came with proper Nespresso capsules and a kettle – no nonsense setup). The room itself was spotless and well thought-out: comfy beds, clean desk area, decent lighting, and a good-sized bathroom. Everything worked, everything was clean – just as you’d expect from a Van der Valk. Breakfast was the usual strong point – fresh, varied, and nicely presented. The restaurant and lounge areas look stylish and cozy, great mix of warm lighting and modern design. Only small note for housekeeping: in room 125, there are some dark sprinkles on the ceiling right above the shower that might be early signs of mould. Nothing dramatic, but worth checking to keep the place perfect. All in all: great hotel, great team, solid value. Definitely a place I’ll return to next time passing through the north.

I stayed with a few colleagues at this hotel for a few days, and I really enjoyed it. The rooms are very spacious and neat, with all comforts and amenities, including your own coffee machine. My room had both a bathtub and a shower. Breakfast is very tasty and many options are provided. We had bowling in the party center of the hotel and dinner in the restaurant, both were lovely activities. There is plenty of parking and also many charging stations for electric vehicles. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Drachten or in Friesland in general.

Very quiet rooms, good temp, clean beds and linen, fair food prices for quantity... service with a smile! just all around good stuff for business travel!||The breakfast experience was just the right size with quality food provided with enough variety to please the palate.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to public transportation. The shower water pressure was the best. The food was great as well.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The on-site restaurant offered a delightful menu with delicious local dishes, and the breakfast spread was impressive. The hotel's location is convenient for discovering the beautiful surrounding area. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Van der Valk for anyone looking for comfort and hospitality in Drachten. I can't wait to return!
